The older we get, the more complex life gets. The more complex life gets, the more resources we need. The more resources we need, the more research we need to find those resources. Whether it’s a leaky roof, a new primary care doctor, an insurance agent, an attorney, a nursing home, a mortgage broker, a caregiver, or just a fun activity to do during the week, finding the resources takes time and vetting. A comprehensive directory that houses a wide range of resources that specifically focus on the lives of older adults is the tool that would streamline life. In 2021 AgeWise Colorado was established for just that purpose; as a resource and reference base of vetted professionals serving our older adult population.
AgeWise Colorado is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on being the bridge and connecting point between 3 million Coloradans over the age of 40 and 3000 Colorado service providers. The aim is to help people age well and wisely by providing free and direct access to more than 1500 vetted service providers under one robust directory. AgeWise Colorado also provides ongoing educational events and online information that provide additional help as well as phone service for those who do not have computers or are unable to navigate computers. AgeWise Colorado is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.
By helping navigate the complexities of aging, older adults and their caregivers can make informed decisions to more confidently travel the journey through the challenges and opportunities of aging well.
For a hands on presentation and demonstration of how the AgeWise Colorado program can work for you, join us for coffee/Tea Wednesday October 7, 2026, 1:30pm at the Silver Wings Arts Program, 908 Main Street, Louisville, CO.
Executive Director, Barbara Boyer, B.S., M.A., will guide us through navigating the program and the benefits of being connected to this invaluable free resource. As an older adult herself, Barbara is dedicated to serving the adult community, helping them find the resources they need for themselves or family. She is affiliated with the DRCOG Area Agency on Aging Advisory Committee on Aging serving as Chair, Arapahoe County Council on Aging (Treasurer), Adams County Aging Network (Chair Elect), Denver Senior Coalition (VP).
