Welcome to the Silver Wings Arts Program located in BOULDER COLORADO.
We are a small group adult day program for the arts.

Learning should be fun

We offer an extensive list of daily workshops in a serene and creatively inspiring setting. Participants delve into the hobbies they love while receiving basic caregiving oversight if needed. Rest and recovery breaks with plenty of refreshments and meals are built into the daily schedule of three well-paced workshops in art, music, movement, and crafts. Our workshops are multi-dimensional, incorporating visual, auditory, and olfactory elements into the experience as often as possible. At our center, unique and functional projects are created in the arts portion of the program, personal goals are reached in our movement and exercise segments if desired, and musical/presentation abilities and interests are explored in various forms. Basic caregiving oversights, such as medication reminders, mobility and cognition assistance, are available if needed, but not required for enrollment. There is disability access to restrooms and parking. Participants can enroll for a full day or individual workshops. Group enrollment is available at discounted rates.

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”
~ George Bernard Shaw

Mission Statement

Our mission is to awaken the creative side of participants and to inspire the artistic interests and talents of individuals who continue to be engaged on some level in art, music, or movement as we guide them further on the path of self-discovery. We believe it is never too late to blossom.

Phoebe Catlin had been writing her memoirs about life as a teacher and guidance counselor for many years. She was in assisted living at a lovely facility in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017. She was 100 years old. Her one great desire was to publish her stories. Through the book publishing workshop,  her autobiography, I Could Tell You Stories, was released. Phoebe was 103 and thrilled to be able to read her life story before passing away in 2020. Her story reminds us to keep following our passions for as long as possible. – Program Director

Workshops

Workshops are 1 hour and 15 minutes with restbreaks. There are three workshops daily. Participants can enroll for the day, which includes all three workshops, lunch, and snacks. Participants can also enroll for 1 – 2 individual workshops each day.

It’s Never Too Late to Fulfill Your Creative Dreams.

Silver Wings Arts Program is a relaxed, inspired approach to doing the things we love or desire to learn, at our own pace, in our own way. There are typically three daily sessions of music, arts/crafting, and physical movement. Participants can rest and recover whenever desired. Facilitators guide participants through each session with an experiential, rather than academic, focus. The program is designed to support the individual needs of each person. Participants can help create their own growth plans in all areas of the program.
