The creative mind doesn’t slow down with age.
“The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom.” Arthur Schopenhauer
Meaningful engagement matters at all stages of life!
The enrollment period in this unique adult art program is open, offering full day or partial day immersive art, movement, and more! Adults over the age of 18 are welcome. The program offers an extensive list of daily workshop sessions in a cozy and creatively inspiring setting. Participants delve into the interests and hobbies they love while receiving basic caregiving oversight, if needed, however, it is not a requisite. Rest and recovery breaks with plenty of refreshments and meals are built into the daily schedule of 2 -3 well-paced sessions in art, movement, music and a variety of related workshops. As an alternative to the rising costs and isolation with home healthcare, the program provides creativity, camaraderie, and personal care in a small group of 3 – 5 participants. Silver Wings Arts Program helps participants expand and rekindle their creative passions in life. Emphasis is on providing the maximum experience with as many tangible take-aways as possible. Basic caregiving oversights include medication reminders, light mobility, and basic cognition assistance when needed, but not required.

~ George Bernard Shaw
Mission Statement
The mission is to provide a place for participants to find daily meaningful engagement through art, music, and movement while receiving the supports needed for participation.

Phoebe Catlin had been writing her memoirs about life as a teacher and guidance counselor for many years. She was in assisted living at a facility in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017 when we met. She was 100 years old. Her one great desire was to publish the stories of her life as an educator in the coal mining towns of West Virginia and as a guidance counselor during the turbulent days of desegregation in the civil rights era of the 1960s. Getting her autobiography published was a dream come true. Three years after meeting, we released her book, I Could Tell You Stories. Phoebe was 103 years old. Her story reminds us to keep following our passions for as long as possible. Our publishing workshop helps participants design beautiful books of memoirs, poems, short stories and more as keepsakes forever – Silver Wings Arts Program Director
